Milwaukee bars will give away free beer for Miller Lite's birthday

When it's a beer's birthday, everyone drinks for free.

Miller Lite is celebrating its 50th birthday by giving away 50,000 beers at 450 bars across the country.

Twenty-three of those bars are in Wisconsin and will give away free Miller Lite beginning at 4:50 p.m. Aug. 1, which is International Beer Day.

Participating Milwaukee-area bars include Friends on Forest Home, Harp Irish Pub, Jack's American Pub, Kelly's Bleachers (Milwaukee), Leff's Lucky Town, Major Goolsby's, Matty's Bar & Grill, Milwaukee Brat House, Murphy's Irish Pub, New Berlin Ale House, Steny's Tavern and Who's on Third.
