A Wisconsin farm distillery has chosen Taiwan as its first international market, signaling growing Asian interest in premium American craft spirits. J. Henry & Sons Bourbon arrived in Taipei this week, marking the family-owned distillery’s expansion beyond U.S. borders.

The shipment represents a strategic partnership between Greg Walters, Inc. and local distributor Larry Chou. Throughout the summer the pairing have planned selective placement in premium bars, private clubs, and invitation-only tastings.

J. Henry & Sons produces its bourbon using red heirloom corn grown on the family’s Wisconsin farm. The distillery controls every step of production, from milling and mashing to fermenting and aging. Barrels mature in open-air rickhouses where Wisconsin’s extreme temperature swings accelerate the aging process and perfects the finished product.
